Vitual Tours

Complete service from consultation, site visit and source image photography, through to image stitching, retouching and preparation for web use.

Image Stitching

Take a series of individual photos and let Panoramas.com.au join them together into a single image.

For a limited time, we are offering FREE assessment of your images. Send us your images and we will attempt
to stitch them together for you.

In around seven days you will receive a stitched result and a report on the prospects for producing a full resolution image.

Here are the steps you need to follow if you wish to try out the stitching service:

Obtain your source images. For best results use a levelled tripod and allow 10-30% overlap of neighbouring images.
The goal is produce a series of photographs with a level horizon and consistent colour balance. Each image should
be taken with identical focus and zoom settings. Make note of the camera type, lens and zoom settings as this
information is necessary for correct stitching of the panorama.
Get the images into your computer. Digital camera users have it easy. If you are scanning your images from film
or prints, make sure the images are not skewed when scanning.
Crop the images, if necessary, to ensure that all images are exactly the same size. The images must have the same pixel
dimensions (height x width). We will not attempt to stitch sets of different sized images. (Depending on file formats,
same-sized images may vary in file size due to compression, this is OK, it is the dimensions that must be identical).
Adjust the colour balance, brightness or contrast of any images that are out of step with the others in the set.
Save a set of images for test stitching. We will accept a package of images up to a total combined size of around
300K for the FREE stitching trial. Please place your images in a .zip or .sit archive and try to keep the final file
size below this limit.
Send the archive attached to an email, advising the camera type, lens and zoom settings, to info@panoramas.com.au.
Please ensure you have a valid return email address set.

After about a week you should receive a test panorama from your images. You will also receive advice on the
feasibility of producing a high quality image from your photos and how to go about it.

It is not always possible to stitch the images together effectively. Good quality source images improve your chances.

We make no guarantees regarding the quality of the resulting test panorama.
